Marinez March Madness

LIS fifth-graders in Mrs. Amanda Marinez's reading classes have been studying theme and paired poetry to complete the Marinez March Madness Poetry Competition last month. Students formed teams and made jerseys, studied various poems in the themes, completed activities on them, and then made comparisons before voting in each category. After many days of study, The Great Winner of the Poetry March Madness competition was Dear Basketball by Kobe Bryant. It is a poem about why basketball is important to him.
