April is poetry month and Librarian Mrs. Abi Swain challenged her students to a Black Out Poetry Contest. Blackout poetry is when you take a written piece of text from a book, newspaper, or magazine and redact words, in order to come up with your very own poetry! One winner from 4th & 5th grade was chosen on their creativity of their poem and art that they created on a page from an old weeded book. Congratulations to Miracle Garcia & Jenasis Moreno! That's fun!
