GEAR Robotics!

LIS educator Clara Sanders shares that the LIS GEAR Robotics team competed Saturday at Lubbock High School. For the second year, these students have learned Computer Science, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics skills. They created, imagined, and built unique robots to complete various tasks. Within two months these LIS students were ready for competition and were awarded 3rd and 5th place. These kinds of competitions teach our students that sometimes one wins and sometimes one fails, but it doesn’t mean one stops imagining and learning! Thank you Mrs. Sanders for all you do in pushing kids to be future-ready!
