LIS Counselor Shayla Bruce & educator Michelle Tate are pleased to share the success of their Gifted & Talented students! They presented their GT Showcase Tuesday night to show off just a few things they had learned this year. Fourth-graders created a diorama to prove something they were passionate about. They also engineered bridges that would hold 10 pounds, and then created a museum exhibit about Texas that included three artifacts. Fifth-graders took a trip across Texas, researching fuel prices, food prices, and places to stay and then setting a budget for the trip. They also researched popular toys and engineered a new one that would improve the old one! There was lots of thinking and discussion as the students "taught their parents!" Thank you, Mrs. Bruce & Tate for leading these kids to success!
