GEAR Heading to State!

LIS has two teams advancing to State in GEAR (Robotics) on May 14th at Texas Tech University!! Levelland had teams place 1st and 2nd! One team was also awarded a trophy for the most points in one round. The four LIS teams competed Saturday morning at Lubbock High School. Each of the 12 students have been practicing teamwork skills as they have learned about coding and building robots that would move to pick up objects and bring back to a home location on their play board. All of our students did an amazing job. Thank you to our Coach Clara Sanders for all of her hard work!! We can’t wait for May 14th!!
