District Bee Winner!

LISD held their annual District Spelling Bee today! Eight Spellers entered the Bee and after 14 rounds, 4th-grader Jonathan Feddes from LIS won the Bee spelling the word "exile!" Jonathan will move on to the 70th Annual Regional Spelling Bee in Lubbock on March 26th! Runner-up in the Bee was LMS 7th-Grader Geovonnie DeLaRosa spelling the word "torturous" correctly. We are so proud of all the Spellers in the Bee and look forward to seeing them participate again next year! Thank you to the Bee Coaches for working with your students, to the Principals for your support, to the 3 judges for judging, and to the parents for challenging your kids every night!
